“Seventeen-year-old Reagan Elizabeth Hillis is used to changing identities overnight, lying to every friend she’s ever had, and pushing away anyone who gets too close. Trained in mortal combat and weaponry her entire life, Reagan is expected to follow in her parents’ footsteps and join the ranks of the most powerful top-secret agency in the world, the Black Angels. Falling in love with the boy next door was never part of the plan.”
After reading the synopsis I was excited to curl up with You Don’t Know My Name, Book 1 in The Black Angel Chronicles to discover who Reagan truly is and why falling in love could change her destiny forever. And if you love young adult fiction that is filled with intrigue, you’ll no doubt want to do the same.
Unlike any teenage girl I grew up with, Reagan is faced with decisions and situations no adult, let alone a girl her age, should be forced to contemplate. Because, seriously who at 17-years-old is the female version of Liam Neeson in Taken 1, 2 or 3? But what I love about You Don’t Know My Name, is how Author Kristen Orlando makes the unbelievable, well … believable.
Similar to my own experiences as a teenager, Reagan is dealing with raging hormones and boy troubles. Knock down, drag out screaming matches with her mom and dad. Being grounded. And the seriously difficult challenge of deciding what she wants to be when she grows up – her options just happen to also include espionage.
The story proved to be an action packed, highly enjoyable read. If you haven’t read You Don’t Know My Name, click the hyperlink and begin reading the series today.
